Deploying AI in buildings is not easy with data challenges often over looked. This presentation takes a reality check on how to get the best outcomes by preparation of the foundations. Is covers the required infrastructure, digital readiness, data and cyber requirements.

Ontology-based representation was developed to represent key findings, with the potential to evolve into an evidence-based information management framework integrating dynamic real-time data and digital twin models in the future. This approach serves as a foundational step toward informing the modelling and simulation of net-zero carbon buildings by identifying decision pathways and data needed. It also contributes to the development of integrated Digital Twin model leveraging big data and machine learning for achieving net-zero carbon buildings.
